Arbitration & Mediation

Arbitration is just like going to court, an arbitration judge takes evidence and renders a decision. It can be binding (means you can't appeal it) or non-binding which means it can be appealed or go to court depending on what the parties agreed to or a statute requires. Mediation is when the parties are asked to sit down together or at least meet in the same location and work out a solution to their dispute.

Del Hardy has been an arbitration judge since 1992. He has also been trained as mediator since 1995 and is currently an appointed Nevada Supreme Court mediation judge. He also sits as a mediation judge for El Dorado Superior Court and has received recognition certificates for his work in resolving difficult cases for the court. The unique combination of seeing a matter through a judges eyes as well as being a litigator gives him and the attorneys of Hardy Law Group the ability to know when a case is to be mediated or arbitrated and when the matter needs to be fully litigated before a jury. There are times that each of these avenues should be considered in a case. And each file is reviewed with a co-counsel attorney at Hardy Law Group to see what avenue should be pursued. Whether personal injury from an auto or motorcycle accident to a business dispute, they need to be viewed with the most effective way to resolve them for the client. Waiting years to get before a jury may be an issue. This and many other factors must be considered and are, with the trial attorneys at Hardy Law Group.

Del Hardy also offers his services as a mediator and an arbitration judge, through his offices.
