Mr. Kelly graduated from Earl Wooster High School. His undergraduate degree was in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College where he received the award for Professional Achievement in Engineering for his work in a floating solar power system.
He studied comparative legal systems at the London School of Economics.
He received his Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. He also received an advanced degree in Corporate Law (L.L.M.) from George Washington University National Law Center.
He worked for the Department of the Navy as an assistant General Counsel at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.
He left the oldest law firm in the State of Nevada where he had been a partner for over 14 years to come and revitalize the Trusts and Estate practice and Business and Corporation planning practice of the Hardy Law Group.
He has previously served on the board of directors of the second largest Credit Union in the USA. He is a licensed Patent Attorney.
He is a member of the Bars of Nevada and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the Tax Court Bar, The Bar of the United States Supreme Court, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, The Federal District Courts of Nevada and the Northern Districts of California and Texas.
Mr. Kelly's interests include skiing, sailing, mountaineering, hunting, fishing and motorsports. history.
